Here's my latest project: a long throw that I can wrap around my shoulders on chilly mornings while sitting at the computer. It's 80cm wide and currently 130cm long but will end up at least 2m in length.
It's a very soft grey green although it looks grey in these photos. It's a change for me working in 10 ply as I usually prefer 8 ply or smaller, but I really like the chunky texture it gives this wheatear pattern.
I am also totally loving my Addi needles, they are so beautiful to work with: warm and smooth to touch, my new favourite knitting needle. The size I used for this project is 6mm.
I've also used 4 Seasons Half n Half Wool/Acrylic combo. This is a Spotlight yarn made in India. I try as much as possible to avoid unsustainable fibres like acrylics but sometimes cost dictates. I hope that this being a non-wearable my kids and grandkids will be able to use it in the future and that it will not go into groundfill.
